The Society for Political Methodology is fully committed to fostering diversity and inclusion. We recognize that our impact as a subfield – from our ability to communicate our findings and to speak to a broad audience to our ability to consider the breadth of methodological possibilities – comes through diversity, and we actively seek and welcome people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
To ensure a harassment-free environment at the meeting, we require that all participants acknowledge and follow the Code of Conduct at SPM Events.
This year again, we are taking a number of steps to fulfill our commitment to diversity at the conference:
The conference will feature invited talks designed to encourage diversity in the field of political methodology.
Emerging scholar sessions will be part of the conference program, featuring papers by junior and underrepresented scholars. Note that some funding is available for members of underrepresented groups (please check that option in the form when submitting a proposal).
Childcare services will be arranged for participants who make the request in advance.
